1923 Shetland Sheepdog Registrations

A total of 159 Shetland Sheepdogs were registered in 1923. Of these, 23 appear in American Register of Merit pedigrees, and two were actually exported to the US or Canada. Only the dogs behind ROM Shelties are given individually. Note particularly the four registrations made by Mrs. Baker. This was the foundation stock on which Chestnut Rainbow and his descendants were crossed to produce the Houghton Hill/Exford strain, the main CHE line in England.
