History Ch Lynnlea Forever Amber CD was a sable and white bitch bred by Raymond and Dorothy Christiansen, by Ch Barwood's Gentl' Persuasion out of Westwood Lea Piper of Ashford CD. She was whelped May 16, 1975, and won the ASSA National Specialty in 1983. She was in Line CHE Part IIe and Family 2 Part III
According to Dorothy,
"Amy was the first veteran bitch to win BOB at the National. She earned nine points when young but hated showing so we got her CD instead. When a veteran, we sent her out with Ron Willacker. She quickly won her majors, including a specialty, because she would show for Ron. Lynette Saltzman gave her the Veteran Bitch class and Thelma Van Thaden gave her Best of Breed. Amy died from a stroke when she was 15, healthy and still sound until that day."Her most influential get was Ch. Lynnlea's Parade Dress who sired four champions and numerous pointed children. His son Ch. Larkspur Tradewinds was BOS at the 1992 National. His daughter Ch. Lynnlea's The Firestarter has four pointed daughters and won the Brood Bitch class in 1997."
