The first National Specialty Show was held in 1933, in conjunction with the Morris and Essex show. Since then a National Specialty show has been designated or held independantly every year.

The list below shows the National Specialty Best of Breed winner for each year since the first National. If a Ch title is shown in parentheses, the dog in question had not yet finished at the time of the National win.
