Ch Benayr Chimera Colloquy was a sable bitch bred by Susan Bentley, by Ch Gerthstone's Jon Christopher ROM out of Briarhill Trinket. She was whelped August 3, 1975, and won Best of Breed from the 6-9 puppy class at the ASSA National Specialty in 1976 (in March; 335 Shelties entered). Then she capped her win by taking Best of Breed at the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Northern Californina (362 Shelties entered) the following day. No, those don't sound like a huge entry today, but at the time, the entry set a new record.
