History of Eng Ch Max of Clerwood
Eng Ch Max of Clerwood was a dog bred by Miss M. C. Tod and whelped December 29, 1927 in England. His US registration shows him as a tricolor, as does the English Stud Book, but he appears as a sable in the English charts and his US puppy was a sable out of a blue merle. He was registered in the June 1933 AKC Stud Book by Fredericka Fry Del Guercio. While he did sire one puppy who carried on in the United States, his main impact was in England where he heads one of the two major branches of modern Line BB, the line coming through Eng Ch Helensdale Ace. He was line BB and Family 3C.
