History of Natalie of Clerwood

Natalie of Clerwood was selected and purchased for Anahassitt by J. Nate Levine, then the kennel manager, at the same time as Ch Wee Laird o'Downfield. She was a tricolor bitch, bred by Miss M. C. Tod in England and whelped April 8, 1928, and appears in the AKC Stud Book in July 1929. She is the source of Family 6 in the United States, with bitch-line descendants through both Ch Adorable of Anahassitt and Natalie o'Page's Hill. Her influence on later ROM Shelties was second only to that of Ch Ashbank Fairy. She is Line CHE Part II.
