History of Ch Peabody Pan

Ch Peabody Pan was a golden sable dog, whelped February 17, 1933. He was imported to the United States by Elizabeth Whelen of Pocono Kennels and his registration appears in the January 1936 AKC Stud Book. He is Line CHE, Family 1. At the time of the first ASSA Handbook in the late 60's, his portion of the CHE sire line was responsible for about a third of the then current US Champions. This fraction has since dwindled, but the line has produced Champions as recently as 1990. He was second only to Ch Wee Laird o'Downfield in overall influence on the breed.Pan was in Line CHE Part I and Family 1.
