History of Ch Kawartha's Fair Game ROM

Ch Kawartha's Fair Game ROM was a sable and white bitch, whelped June 1, 1958 by Ch Sheltieland Kiltie o'Sea Isle ex Ch Kawartha's Sabrina Fair ROM. She produced at least two litters for her breeders, the Kavanaughs (Kawartha Kennels). One, by Ch Sea Isle Camelot (a grandson of Ch Nashcrest Golden Note ROM), included Ch Kawartha's Kiss Me Kate. The second, by Ch Malpsh the Duke of Erle (another Note grandson) included two youngsters who went to their sire's owner: Ch Gillian Fair of Sea Isle and Fair Play of Sea Isle ROM. Fair Game then was acquired by Jean Simmons (Carmylie).

Jean bred Fair Game three more times. The first Carmylie mating, to Ch Lindhurst Comanchero, produced three pups that appear in later ROM pedigrees, but no Champions. (This was also the only breeding in which Fair Game was not mated to a Note son or grandson.) Fair Game's fourth breeding was to Ch Sea Isle Serenade ROM (an inbred son of Note) and included 2 Champions: Ch Vanity Fair of Carmylie and Ch Carmylie Bravo o'Banchory. Fair Game's last breeding was to Badgerton Red Riot of Carmylie CDX, another Note grandson, and this litter produced her 5th Champion. Fair Game is Line CHE Part I and Family 6.
